It seems like there’s quite a bit of mechanical trouble, especially with the number of broken down vehicles reported across various highways. For instance, two separate incidents affecting parts of I-70 in Kansas City and Bonner Springs have about 470 feet and 560 feet of roadway blocked respectively. You certainly don’t want to be stuck in that kind of traffic!
Keep in mind that several roads have temporary closures too. North Manchester Avenue and Northeast 48th Street in Kansas City have had closures impacting the area between I-435 North and North Manchester Avenue. If you’re in the vicinity, you might want to go around that part.
Remember, Kansas City, it’s always best to keep an eye on traffic updates before heading out. Whether it’s broken down vehicles or crashes, there’s no shortage of unexpected stops on the highways today. Safe travels and happy driving!
