Current Incidents

As of right now, we don’t have any severe traffic incidents to report, which is always good news! However, we do want to keep you in the loop about some vehicles that are having a bit of trouble on the highways.

  • Broken down vehicle on northbound I-29/I-35: There’s a broken down vehicle from MO-210/Armour Road/Exit 6 to Parvin Road/Exit 8. It’s blocking a section of 630 feet. This issue was identified at 6:08 p.m. and the last update came out shortly after at 6:23 p.m.
  • Vehicle Trouble on northbound I-35: There’s also a broken down vehicle between 27th Street/Exit 1B and Southwest Boulevard/Pennway Street/Exit 1C. This blockage stretches over 80 feet. The first alert was sent out at 5:01 p.m. with the last update at 5:17 p.m.
  • Eastbound I-35 Bottleneck: Near Lenexa, there’s a broken down vehicle affecting a stretch of 200 feet from 119th Street/Exit 220 to I-435/Exit 222. They first reported this at 3:12 p.m. and updated us at 3:29 p.m.
  • Another Issue on I-70: A broken down vehicle is causing problems on eastbound I-70 between The Paseo/Exit 3 and Brooklyn Avenue/Exit 3, affecting around 170 feet. Alerts came out at 8:57 p.m. and updated at 9:11 p.m..

Crashes Reported

Unfortunately, there have been a few crashes today that might affect your route:

  • Crash on eastbound I-670: This happened between Broadway Boulevard and I-70 (East)/US-40. The affected area is about 0.66 miles long. The initial report was made at 12:44 p.m. with the last update at 12:59 p.m.
  • Accident on southbound I-435: Here’s another crash between Gregory Boulevard/Exit 67 and 87th Street/Exit 69 that has impacted an area of 180 feet. This was noted at 9:43 p.m. with an update provided at 10:41 p.m.

On a positive note, traffic incidents have significantly decreased over the last 12 hours, with no major problems popping up for commuters. That’s a relief!

Also, it’s worth mentioning that there’s a lane closed on US-69 from 151st Street to College Boulevard. The alert about this closure was noted recently, so be mindful if you typically take that route.
