Northbound I-35 in Mission

First up, there’s a broken down vehicle on I-35 North between Johnson Drive (Exit 229) and Antioch Road (Exit 230). This incident is causing issues for roughly 390 feet. It was reported late last night at 9:16 p.m., and the latest news about it came in at 9:28 p.m.. So, keep that in mind if you’re heading that way!

Monarch Highway in Overland Park

If you’re driving near Overland Park, be aware of another broken down vehicle on the Monarch Highway between Exit 225A and I-35 North. This one stretches across approximately 280 feet. The initial alert came at 7:25 p.m., with a follow-up just ten minutes later. Stay safe out there!

Eastbound I-35 in Olathe

Next, we have a broken down vehicle on I-35 East from 119th Street (Exit 220) to I-435 (Exit 222), affecting about 630 feet. This was reported around 4:17 p.m. and updated shortly after at 4:29 p.m.. Think about taking a different route if you can.

East 163rd Street in Belton

Over in Belton, there’s another one! A broken down vehicle is sitting on East 163rd Street between Exit 175 and I-49 North. The area impacted is about 90 feet, and this incident popped up at 5:10 p.m. with the latest update just before 5:22 p.m..

Southbound I-435 in Kansas City

If you’re on I-435 South from I-70 (Exit 63) to Stadium Drive, there’s a broken down vehicle also causing a delay of around 210 feet. We got wind of this at 9:46 p.m., with an update soon after at 12:22 a.m..

Eastbound I-70 in Kansas City

There are two reports of issues on I-70 East as well. One is from Blue Ridge Cut Off (Exit 9) to Sterling Avenue (Exit 10), impacting a good 540 feet. Another between Jackson Avenue (Exit 5) and Van Brunt Boulevard (Exit 6) affecting 50 feet. These alerts came in at various times throughout the evening from around 5:59 p.m. to 6:06 p.m..

Caution on the Highways

Oh, and attention drivers! There’s a crash reported on I-70 between Jackson Avenue (Exit 5) and Van Brunt Boulevard (Exit 6) impacting about 270 feet. If you’re traveling in that direction, be prepared for some delays!

Road Closures in Overland Park

In Overland Park, keep an eye out for lane closures on US-69. There are multiple incidents, including a closure between 95th Street and College Boulevard, and 119th Street and 135th Street, which could lengthen your travel time if you’re commuting through that area.
