Spice of Bombay Indian Kitchen & Bar has opened in Overland Park, offering authentic North Indian cuisine. With a $20 lunch buffet and a vibrant menu, it promises an exciting culinary experience. The restaurant operates daily, ensuring that locals can enjoy flavorful dishes any day of the week. Founded by Kiran Kaur and Andy Singh, the couple aims to bring a unique dining atmosphere to the area, making it a must-visit for food enthusiasts.
Overland Park is buzzing with excitement as a brand new culinary haven has opened its doors! Spice of Bombay Indian Kitchen & Bar, founded by the dynamic couple Kiran Kaur and Andy Singh, is set to offer a delicious slice of authentic North Indian cuisine. Located at 9940 College Blvd. in The Shops at Corporate Woods, this restaurant promises to differentiate itself from many other Indian dining options in the area.
Initially, Kaur and Singh had their sights on launching their restaurant closer to home in Lee’s Summit. However, after giving it some thought, they decided a move to Overland Park would be the best bet. Their original location at 436 S.W. Ward Road is currently undergoing renovations and is expected to open later this summer. Talk about a busy schedule!
With the couple’s combined experience of over 20 years in the restaurant business—despite being just in their early 30s—it’s no wonder they are creating waves in the culinary landscape. Kaur’s father owned a restaurant in Columbia, Missouri, and Singh’s family is behind the popular Taj Mahal restaurant in Waldo. The experience they bring is palpable, and it shows in their vibrant new venture.
One of the standout features at Spice of Bombay is its all-you-can-eat lunch buffet, available for only $20. Diners can delight in a variety of mouth-watering options, including classic dishes like chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, lamb vindaloo, and the beloved saag paneer. It’s the perfect opportunity to explore the diverse flavors of North Indian cuisine without breaking the bank!
For those who prefer a more traditional dining experience, the dinner menu follows an à la carte format. Signature dishes such as chicken bhuna and the famously refreshing mango lassi offer options that are sure to please the palate. It’s hard to resist a yogurt-based drink that’s as popular as it is delicious!
Want to check out Spice of Bombay? The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays, and noon to 8 p.m. on Sundays. With such convenient hours, it’s easy to fit a visit into your schedule.
Alongside the exciting launch of Spice of Bombay, Overland Park is also seeing some fresh new food vendors pop up around the area. For those who enjoy Asian flavors, Saap Saap Noodles has debuted in the Lenexa Public Market, serving up family recipes inspired by Laos and Thai cuisine.
Additionally, Prefix Coffee is shifting its focus; after closing its Grandview location, it plans to unveil a new café downtown at 1125 Grand Blvd., KCMO with hopes for a drive-thru in the future. And let’s not forget about JJ’s Restaurant, a long-standing Plaza favorite for the past 40 years, which is transitioning to new ownership under Kevin Frantzé, the nephew of former owner Jimmy Frantzé.
Whether you’re a fan of Indian cuisine or simply enjoy trying new things, Spice of Bombay Indian Kitchen & Bar has something appetizing in store for you. So grab some friends or a family member and head over to experience the flavors of India right here in Overland Park. It promises to be an experience you won’t soon forget!
