From May 1 to 16, Kansas City is buzzing with exhilarating events as part of the annual Remake Learning Days. This two-week gala invites families from all across the city to engage in a variety of educational experiences. It’s a period filled with fun, adventure, and an opportunity to learn new things while making lasting memories.

Unveiling a Wide Array of Fun and Engaging Events

Taking place at multiple locations throughout the city, there is a rich selection of more than 125 events lined up for everyone. Parks, schools, libraries, businesses, nonprofits, and various community partners are joining hands to bring these unique learning experiences to all corners of Kansas City. The best part? Most of these public events are free and are the perfect platform for children and their families to express themselves while exploring new technologies, arts, the outdoors, and much more.

Some exciting highlights of the event include a Free Range Friday at the Wildwood Outdoor Education Center in Kansas, a night of maker space fun at the IDEA Space, and an introduction to the final race of the Kansas ElectroRally season at the MINDDRIVE Invitational at the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport.

Faxon Elementary Robotics Team Gears up for a New Event

In addition to these, a noteworthy event waiting to unfold at Faxon Elementary School would see the school’s robotics team, in collaboration with the Local Investment Commission (LINC) and the Front Porch Alliance, working on a unique project. By assembling the AccessaBUILDity wall, a sensory wall that aims to make recreation more inclusive, these young innovators will gain hands-on experience while offering a fun and engaging opportunity for students, parents, and friends.

LINC is hosting several other events throughout the city during this period in its after-school programs in partnership with groups like Mad Science, Urban TEC, and Kansas City Young Audiences. By actively contributing to this gala, LINC is committed to providing the youth with meaningful engagement beyond their regular school hours.
