Around 10 a.m., new stock of pre-owned records will hit the shelves. To make the day even more exciting, a food truck called The Stuffed Mushroom will be serving up delicious bites, and live music from DJ DA Hill will grace the scene starting at 2 p.m.. Bands will take the stage from 6 to 8 p.m.—talk about an epic day!

Love Garden Sounds

If you’re a fan of this Lawrence gem at 822 Massachusetts St., listen up! The lottery for reserved shopping spots kicks off at 9:30 a.m., but the store doesn’t open to the public until 12:45 p.m.. Patrons can select up to five items to purchase, and don’t worry if you miss out on the hottest records initially; less sought-after titles might be up for grabs later in the day!

Brothers Music KC

Vinyl Heaven

Any vinyl lover knows that caffeine and snacks are essential when record hunting! Vinyl Heaven, located at 9411 W. 87th St. in Overland Park, will open their doors at 8 a.m.. Stop by and grab a cup of coffee, soda, juice, or maybe even a doughnut to fuel your shopping spree.

What Makes RSD Special?

Record Store Day is like an old-school Black Friday for vinyl collectors, and trust us, the energy is infectious! Early arrivals are a common sight as fans often camp out overnight to secure exclusive releases. Over the years, RSD has transformed into an incredibly important day for sales in independent shops, nurturing the local music scene.

To top it all off, local legends Season to Risk will be releasing their new album and single, “Echo Chamber,” on RSD, and they’ll be hitting the road for a tour in April and May. What a treat for their fans!

So grab your friends, make a game plan, and get ready to dive into the wonderful world of vinyl at Kansas City’s Record Store Day 2025. Happy shopping, music lovers!
