On August 7th, they formally approved plans for the construction of eight single-family homes on a small parcel of land measuring just 0.83 acres. This location is situated at the intersection of 13th and 135th Streets, which is conveniently located just west of 71 Highway.

Details of the Project

The plans for these new homes came from Elevate Design + Build, LLC, a local company based in Blue Springs. Excitingly, this project is a rethink from a larger proposal that was put on the table back in 2021. The original plan called for the demolition of the Calvary Temple Community Church of the Apostolic Faith, but after some conversation, the church opted to stay put and not sell its land.

So, what’s the new plan? Instead of the previous idea, the current proposal focuses on just developing those eight homes without disrupting the church.
