Warm greetings to all our readers from Kansas City! As the sun shines bright in our neck of the woods, reaching a lovely high of around 85°F, there’s something even warmer brewing in the professional landscape of our city. On the evening of October 8, 2024, we received fantastic news that is bound to shake things up in the public finance sector!
Gilmore & Bell, P.C., one of the foremost public finance law firms in the country, has announced that Chanelle Perez has officially joined their Kansas City office as an associate. This is a significant addition to their team, and it’s not just because she’s bringing her talent to the city!
Chanelle is no stranger to hard work and dedication. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree, graduating summa cum laude from Southwest Baptist University in 2021. Following this, she didn’t stop there; she earned her Juris Doctor degree with honors, specifically magna cum laude, from The University of Missouri – Kansas City earlier this year. While at UMKC, she made waves as a member of the prestigious UMKC Law Review!
So, why is this important? Well, Gilmore & Bell doesn’t just deal with legal matters; they play a crucial role in helping governmental entities and charitable organizations secure funding through various means — think bonds, lease transactions, and public-private partnerships. With over 30 years under their belt, they consistently rank among the top ten in the nation for advising on municipal bond issues. This means they are deeply involved in projects that benefit our community and beyond!
What Chanelle brings to the table is more than just her educational achievements; it’s her fresh perspective, passion for the law, and commitment to helping those governmental entities navigate complex financing options. She is excited to contribute her skills to a firm that makes such a significant impact on public projects and community development.
With offices not only in Kansas City but also across Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Utah, and Illinois, Gilmore & Bell has built a reputable presence. As they welcome Chanelle, it’s exciting to think about how her role will enhance their already stellar capabilities. We are hopeful that the firm, with her additions, will continue to thrive and deliver outstanding service in the evolving landscape of public finance.
The work that law firms like Gilmore & Bell do is not just important for their clients; it has wide-reaching implications for our entire community. By securing funding for essential public services and infrastructure, they are helping to shape the future of our cities and towns.
So as we enjoy another beautiful day with clear skies and a low of 53°F, let’s take a moment to celebrate Chanelle’s new role and the positive changes she will help create. We look forward to seeing her contributions help further the mission of Gilmore & Bell, and in turn, uplift our community!
And in the meantime, let’s soak up this beautiful Kansas City weather! With light winds blowing from the southeast at about 5 to 10 mph, it’s a perfect chance to spend some time outdoors and appreciate our vibrant community.
Thanks for tuning in, Kansas City! Until next time, keep smiling and supporting local talents making waves in their fields.
