The lives of Ricky Johnson, 38, David Harrington, 37, and Clayton McGeeney, 36, came to a tragic and untimely end on January 7, 2024, during what was supposed to be a lively night of cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs against the Los Angeles Chargers. Since their discovery two days later in the backyard of their friend Jordan Willis, there have been more questions than answers.

It’s difficult to fathom how such a jovial occasion could turn into this somber situation.

Picerno has not gained access to autopsy or toxicology reports, despite multiple requests. “What we have seen lately, especially with the explosion of fentanyl… we see a lot more people who you wouldn’t necessarily label as drug dealers being charged in these circumstances for some kind of felony murder,” he remarked, implying that the ongoing opioid crisis may offer clues.
Willis has since moved away and deleted his social media profiles, eager to escape the clamor surrounding the case. Meanwhile, the public sentiment has turned towards suspicion, and ongoing rumors on social media only complicate matters. “The general public believes he is responsible for their deaths, and that’s simply not true,” Picerno lamented, voicing his frustrations about media speculation.
