Remarkable Survival Following Aircraft Crash
An intended skydiving trip took a shocking turn when a small plane crash occurred near Kansas City on the 27th of May, 2024. Plane Wreckage Found Near Butler Memorial Airport
Early Saturday afternoon, the plane went down in a field east of the Butler Memorial Airport runways. This location, about 62 miles south of Kansas City, was where emergency services discovered the wreckage. Preliminary information from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) indicates that the plane was flying a skydiving mission at the time of the crash. The wreckage is described as a “total loss.”
Emergency Services and Authorities Respond
Immediate on-site assistance was provided by paramedics, who treated and released all survivors at the scene. Despite the violent crash, all individuals involved have been confirmed safe and unharmed. The Bates County Sheriff’s Office released this information in a public statement on social media.
All Safely Parachute Before Crash
In an extraordinary stroke of fortune, all six skydivers and the pilot managed to parachute from the aircraft prior to the crash. The Bates County Sheriff, Chad Anderson, confirmed via email that all passengers parachuted to safety before the pilot also did the same. The pilot was later located at an airport hangar.
