Loews Hotels Brings the Kansas City Community Experience to its Guests with the ‘Local by Loews’ Program
Kansas City, Missouri
In an innovative approach to leverage local culture and community resources, the Loews Hotels has implemented a new program within its operations named ‘Local by Loews’. This initiative aims at integrating the essence of the local Kansas City community into various services offered by the hotel, enriching the overall experience for all guests.
A Taste of Kansas City Lifestyle
Running throughout the summer and fall, the Local by Loews program boasts of a regular fitness regime put in place in collaboration with Sweat Forum, a Prairie Village-based gym owned by women entrepreneurs. Despite Loews Hotel being an international chain, it bears a genuine interest in aligning its services with local resources and community talents.
Erica Coltun, the public relations director for Loews, clarified, “Loews Hotels is all about creating partnerships in the destinations that our hotels are based in and providing unique localized experiences.” She added that a strategic association with Sweat Forum allows guests to have a glimpse of the Kansas City sports scene without leaving the comfort of the hotel premises.
Details of the Program
The fitness class, completely free, occurs once a month at 10 a.m. on Sundays – falling on July 14, Aug. 4, Sept. 8, and Oct. 6. According to Stephanie Jones, owner of Sweat Forum, the workout effortlessly blends high and low speed exercises drawn from two different classes of Sweat Forum, thereby creating a unique and exhilarating routine suitable for everyone.
Urging all to join in, Jones stated, “We want to provide this free workout for everyone to just try a class.“. She expressed her pride and satisfaction found in the integrity of Sweat Forum’s service and praised the unifying spirit inherent to Sweat Forum’s diverse community of exercisers.
Food: The Ultimate Local Culture Expression
Apart from community-engaging fitness routines, the Local by Loews program also explores the culinary richness of the local Kansas City scene by introducing food partnerships with various local vendors. Featured names include the renowned Tom’s Town Distillery and Ruby Jean’s Juicery, providing guests an authentic taste of Kansas City’s food offerings.
Closure
This diligent balance between international hospitality standards and local cultural experience not only benefits the guests with unprecedented wholesome experiences but also supports local businesses and communities, giving them exposure to a wider audience.
