Exciting Festival in Kansas City to Support Local Nonprofits!

Welcome to Kansas City, where community spirit is alive and well! This September, get ready to raise your glasses and celebrate local heroes in an exciting way. The Casual Animal Brewing Company is hosting its first-ever non-profit festival, Local Motive Showcase, on Saturday, September 28th. This vibrant festival is set to make waves in the community, bringing together nearly two dozen local nonprofits in a fun-filled afternoon.

A Gathering for Good

So, what can you expect at this much-anticipated event? Well, the Local Motive Showcase is all about making connections, having fun, and supporting the organizations that truly make a difference in our city. The showcase is taking place in the heart of the Crossroads Arts District at 1725 McGee Street. From noon to 4 p.m., come down and immerse yourself in local flavors, heartfelt interactions, and loads of entertainment!

All the Exciting Activities

Brewery officials promise an array of activities that cater to everyone in the family. Get ready for live music performances featuring local favorites such as Kadesh Flow and the beats of DJ LeoNighthus. The excitement doesn’t stop there – the talented Flare tha Rebel will host a live entertainment show that you won’t want to miss.

Food lovers will also be thrilled, as some of the finest local establishments will have their delicious fare available. Expect scrumptious offerings from The Brick Pan Caliente, Disco Burger, Orange by Devoured, and Fairway Creamery to tempt your taste buds!

Fun for Everyone!

The festival isn’t just about food and music; it promises a plethora of engaging activities for all ages. Picture this: spinning a prize wheel, trying your hand at pumpkin decorating, and even learning about starter plants. Pet lovers will delight in pet trivia games and the chance to meet some adorable adoptable dogs on-site. And if you’re a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, you’re in luck! Official merchandise will also be offered for those wishing to sport their team colors.

Support for Nonprofits

By coming to this festival, you’re participating in something even bigger. The Local Motive program, which started in 2018 at Casual Animal, is dedicated to giving back to the community. With every pint sold off the tap, $2 goes directly to a designated nonprofit. This festival is a great opportunity not just to have fun but to learn about the organizations in your community and find out how you can get more involved.

“Supporting these nonprofits is so much more than giving a donation,” shares Lara Gray, co-owner of Casual Animal Brewing Company. “This is an opportunity for our community to come together and raise a glass to the significant work they’re each doing throughout Kansas City.”

How to Attend

The Local Motive Showcase is free to attend, so gather your friends, bring the family, and join the fun! There are no tickets required, making it easy for everyone to come out and show their support for these vital organizations. Mark your calendars for Saturday, Sept. 28, and make your way to Casual Animal Brewing Co. – you won’t want to miss it!

Let’s come together as a community, celebrate our local nonprofits, and, most importantly, have an amazing time in Kansas City!
