KC Symphony Designers’ Showhouse Unveils 54th Home in Roanoke Historic District

KANSAS CITY, Mo. —The much-anticipated event of the year, the KC Symphony Designers’ Showhouse, is back. The house, once the home of the renowned painter Thomas Hart Benton, is rich in history and artistic appeal. “We’re very excited to have this house. It was once the home of Thomas Hart Benton, a famous painter,” enthused Mike Minor, Showhouse co-chair.

The KC Symphony Designers’ Showhouse is indeed a celebrated event for design enthusiasts. However, this event has a larger purpose. The proceeds from ticket sales enrich the community as they spark goodwill. “The Kansas City Symphony does a lot of outreach projects,” Minor explained. “They have educational programs for students, they have the mobile music box. It does a lot for the city.”
