Beginning April 18, the bustling intersection near Union Station is set to experience a traffic disruption due to the ongoing construction of the KC Streetcar tracks. As per the announcement made by KC Streetcar Constructors, sections of Persing Rd. East of Main St. will be temporarily closed from next week Thursday, April 25. This decision is a necessary step towards achieving the completion of the Pershing Crossover.
Traffic Diversion and Accessibility
During this period, traffic will be re-routed through Broadway, Southwest, 20th, Grandview, and 27th St. The construction work is scheduled to last approximately four weeks, dependent on weather conditions.
