Residents can expect that weather system to push eastward, bringing winter’s chill all the way to the Ohio Valley and Mid-Atlantic states soon.

Meteorologists are predicting a hard freeze the likes of which hasn’t been seen in Florida, while severe thunderstorms potentially brewing in the Lower Mississippi Valley could include threats of tornados and hail. Emergency Services in High Demand
Reports from the MODOT showed over 130 crashes occurring between 1 PM and 9 PM on Saturday alone, with emergency services responding to over 328 calls during that time. Roads such as Interstates 35 and 69 were particularly problematic, leading to numerous road closures and stranded drivers, many of whom were left waiting for assistance.
