On August 24, members of a dedicated voting collective gathered at several community centers throughout the city to provide assistance with registering to vote.

This initiative, spearheaded by Mayor Pro Tem Ryana Parks and the Greater Kansas City National Pan-Hellenic Council, aimed to simplify the voting process for residents. Statistics from previous elections shed light on a significant concern: in 2022, approximately 225,186 out of nearly 510,000 eligible voters in Kansas City were registered. This means less than 45% of those eligible took the step to register, highlighting the urgent need for more engagement and outreach efforts.
