No Major Traffic Incidents… For Now!

At this moment, we’re happy to report that there are currently no major traffic incidents affecting the highways in Kansas City. That’s a rare win for everyone who dreads the delays and congestion of a busy day on the road!

Except for a Few Broken Down Vehicles

Now, while we’re enjoying the smooth traffic flow, there are a few incidents here and there that are worth noting. It seems Sunday wasn’t entirely free of hiccups, as several vehicles decided to take an unexpected break. Here’s a quick rundown:

  • Purple Heart Trail: There’s a broken down vehicle between Lamar Avenue exit 232A and I-35 North. Watch for some delays along that stretch affecting about 540 feet.
  • I-35 in Olathe: A vehicle is on the side of the road between I-435/Exit 222 and 119th Street/Exit 220. This incident spans 610 feet, so be alert if you’re in the area.
  • I-35 in Overland Park: Another vehicle malfunction has been reported between Antioch Road/Exit 230 and I-635/Exit 231, affecting just 160 feet.
  • I-70 in Kansas City: There’s a broken down vehicle from Third Street/James St/Exit 423 to I-35/Beardsley Road/Exit 2, stretching 430 feet.
  • I-435 in Kansas City: A vehicle broke down between I-70/Exit 63 and Stadium Drive, impacting 640 feet.

Crashes Reported – Keep An Eye Out!

Unfortunately, there were a few crashes today that caused some delays:

  • Eastbound I-70: There was a crash affecting 120 feet from 110th Street/Exit 410 to I-435/Exit 411. Please drive cautiously in this area.
  • Northbound US-69 in Overland Park: A crash has led to some travel issues between 95th Street and 87th Street, impacting close to 1.10 miles of roadway.
  • West 101st Terrace: A traffic warning is in effect after a crash from exit 222B to I-435 North, affecting a stretch where you should be extra careful.
  • Northbound I-435 in Lenexa: Yet another crash was reported from Lackman Road/Exit 1 to K-10/Exit 1, covering 120 feet.

Route Closures – Plan Ahead!

And just when you thought it couldn’t get any trickier…

  • East Truman Road: This road is temporarily closed between I-70 East and East 15th Ter, impacting about 300 feet. Detours may be necessary.
