Muni and Modern Market Eatery Open Downtown

The River Market area welcomes Muni, a masterpiece from the owners of Buck Tui and Waldo Thai. This new dining spot, nestled in the former Tribe Street Kitchen space, marries Thai and Mexican flavors in an impressive late-night menu featuring unique dishes such as Thaiquitos, Birria Dumplings, and Thom Yum Pozole.

Moving to the Power and Light district, Modern Market Eatery has opened its second Kansas City location. The Denver-based scratch kitchen celebrates its opening with a special offer of half-price entrees at both KC locations. Prefix Coffee Downsizes and Partners Distance Themselves

In another development, Prefix Coffee revealed plans to close two of its four locations. Despite being separate entities, both Prefix and the properties it current occupies are associated with the IHOPKC religious organization. Acting in mutual agreement to distance themselves from IHOPKC, Prefix’s Red Bridge and Grandview locations will cease operations within the year. The Midtown and Downtown shops remain open.

Exciting Collaborations with KC Wine Co, West Bottoms Whiskey Co., and More

At the InterContinental KC Hotel on the Plaza, the On The Rocks & Rolled event combines the finesse of bourbon, cigars, and mixology, courtesy of representatives from West Bottoms Whiskey Co. and La Cultura Cigar and Social.

Meanwhile, Vignettes, North KC’s rotating theme bar, transitions from a Dolly Parton tribute into a homage to THE office, complete with themed cocktails and foods paying tribute to the famed TV show.

Another exciting collaboration comes from KC Wine Co in South Olathe, which hosts an adults-only Easter Hop-up Bar with themed cocktails and a selection of wines, hard cider, and beer.

On the music and spirits front, a sneak preview of Strawberry Hill’s new sports bar, The Davenport, features local spirit samples from Holladay Distillery and Una Familia Tequila, complemented by live music.

New lounge In the Lowest Ferns teams up with Baba’s Pantry for a brunch special featuring authentic Palestinian-American cuisine, while Slow Rise bakery partners with Kinship Cafe for a pop-up satisfying the sweet tooth cravings.

Even more notable is Chef Hera’s first pop-up featuring delightful focaccia sandwiches on the menu at Oddly Correct Coffee in South Hyde Park. And for wine enthusiasts, Lonnie’s Reno Club offers an extraordinary Tour de Vino–A Sonoma Wine Dinner Experience, showcasing an palatable five-course meal paired with six wine varieties.
