Kick off your weekend in style at the Soul Sessions KC – R&B Only Day Party! This lively event is taking place on Sunday, September 29, from 2 PM to 8 PM at the Equal Minded Night Lounge & Event Venue located at 4327 Troost Ave. It’s an excellent opportunity to unwind with craft cocktails, great food, and, of course, some smooth R&B vibes. With a ticket price ranging from $0 to $75, there’s an option for everyone to join in on the fun!

On Monday, September 30, at 6 PM, the KC Reparations Coalition Monthly Meeting will be held virtually. This month, they’re welcoming Dr. Afia Zakiya, an esteemed scholar-activist and Political Science graduate from Clark Atlanta University. A Musical Adventure for Kids
Parents, mark your calendars for Friday, October 4, at 10 AM for Jazz Storytelling at the American Jazz Museum Atrium (1616 18th St). This fun-filled experience, targeted at toddlers and early elementary schoolers, features talented vocalist Lisa Henry, storyteller Brother John, and incredible musicians who will bring jazz to life through stories. On Sunday, October 6, from 6 PM to 11 PM, the Black & Gold New Orleans Party at the Westin At Crown Center will be a must-attend event for all football fans as the Saints go head-to-head with the Chiefs. Celebrate Together with Music
As the month goes on, there’s another fantastic event on October 10 at 7 PM. Join in on the UNI Recess! Jam Session at Frank A. Theis Park, featuring an impressive lineup, including Dave Hollister and LeToya Luckett.
