Chad Thompson: An Exceptional Addition to the Civil Design Group

An experienced professional engineer, Chad Thompson brings close to three decades of hands-on engineering experience to the Lamp Rynearson team. He joins the firm’s Civil Design Group as a Senior Project Manager, bringing with him a wealth of experience managing a variety of capital improvement projects. This includes multi-million dollar undertakings in roadway infrastructure, bridge structures, storm sewer systems, traffic signals, street lighting, as well as water and sanitary sewer projects.

With an illustrious 20-year tenure at the City of Kansas City, Missouri’s Public Works Department, Thompson’s extensive knowledge in municipal operations is anticipated to be pivotal in cultivating trust and expanding the Kansas City market presence for Lamp Rynearson. Furthermore, Thompson’s board participations exemplify his commitment to public safety and transportation infrastructure.

Kent Rettig: Dedicated Advocate for Community Recreational Enhancements

As a staunch supporter of local recreational enhancements, Kent Rettig joins the Aquatics Group at Lamp Rynearson as a Senior Project Advocate. He is known for his work with Comprehensive Park Master Plans, demonstrating his ability to liaise effectively with various city departments and stakeholders.

Rettig’s extensive background includes management of recreation operations at the City of Lawrence, Kansas. He also played a significant role in shaping the community’s recreational landscape by developing new neighborhood parks and maintaining city parks and facilities. Additionally, during his tenure as the Recreation Superintendent for Olathe Parks & Recreation, Rettig oversaw operations for the Olathe Community Center, Outdoor Pools, Lake Olathe Eagles Landing, and Beach & Marina.
