Kansas City, Mo Celebrates Earth Day with Earth Fest 2024

In an effort to bring attention to environmental and related issues, a local Buddhist Center in Kansas City, Mo has partnered once again with the Climate Council of Greater Kansas City to host Earth Fest 2024 this year. The festival will be held on Saturday, April 20, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and is open to the public free of charge.

A Collective Effort Toward Environmental Awareness

The organizers aim to foster a sense of community and increase awareness of local non-profit groups working on environmental matters in the city. Among the festival’s many features are workshops with 15-minute discussions on various topics related to the environment.

Last year’s Earth Fest boasted the participation of several noteworthy organizations including Bridging the Gap, Citizens Climate Lobby, and The Resilient Activist, among others. Similar contributors are anticipated for this years’ edition.

Event Venue and Details

Earth Fest 2024 will take place in the lower level of the Unity Temple on the Plaza, located at 707 West 47th Street in Kansas City, on the west end of the Country Club Plaza. Attendees are offered free parking available at a garage located a block west of the Unity Temple on 47th street.

The event is not only a chance to lean into environmental consciousness, but also a way to learn from local non-profits that are making significant strides in addressing environmental concerns and issues. It’s a collective effort to bring the community together around environmental awareness and action.
