The American Theatre Guild unveiled the PNC Broadway lineup for the 2024-2025 season, and it includes premieres in Kansas City for a pair of shows. The season begins with Funny Girl in early December and wraps up with The Wiz in mid-July. Beetlejuice and Back to the Future will grace the Kansas City Broadway stages for the first time.
“We love the excitement surrounding our PNC Broadway in Kansas City Season Announcement and for 24-25, we are delighted with the return of The Lion King for a two-week engagement. Along with the premieres of two shows inspired by beloved films, Beetlejuice and Back to the Future: The Musical, this season will offer something for both current and new fans of Broadway,” said American Theatre Guild president Amy Hamm.
“We are also excited to announce the sixth year of our Staging the Future mission providing access to Broadway shows and other educational opportunities to underserved youth and community members.”

Judy Collins is also a season add-on with a performance scheduled for March 15, 2025, at Kauffman Center. The current season still has four shows remaining, including Mamma Mia! and Moulin Rouge! The Lion King will perform at Kansas City’s Music Hall in May 2025.
