Over the past two years, Yeehaw! has raised nearly $30,000 to help KC Tenants with their operational costs, which include everything from meeting spaces to supplies for rallies and canvassing efforts.
Anna Weis, the event producer, says it best: “Money raised helps KC Tenants pay for operational costs like meeting spaces, supplies for rallies and canvasses, and much more. KC Tenants is currently supporting Quality Hill Towers and Independence Tower Unions in the country’s first-ever rent strike to target FHFA. Without financial support, it would be impossible to keep fighting for tenants like them.”

After successfully selling out The Ship in 2022 and The Truman in 2023, Yeehaw! is moving to the larger The Midland this year to accommodate all the eager attendees. The excitement among Kansas City residents has been electric, with the event expected to pack the house once again. “Kansas City has turned out year after year, selling out each venue we are in,” Weis shares. “It’s incredible to see people’s enthusiasm for their city and the Tenant Union.”
Weis adds that they want to keep that energy alive by bringing in more top-tier guests, making it an annual celebration that showcases all the unique and wonderful things about Kansas City.
