Kansas City – Local distillery J. Rieger & Co. is championing childhood literacy through their exciting fundraising event BENEFITTING LEAD TO READ, happening on Tuesday, March 12, at 3:00 P.M.
Known for its world-class spirits, J. Rieger & Co. is committed to not only creating well-crafted beverages but also investing in the local community. They are pledging to donate 20% of all beverage sales during the event back to Lead to Read KC, a not-for-profit organization committed to improving reading proficiency among urban children.
If you can’t make the event, don’t fret! The distillery is finding creative ways to support childhood literacy throughout the month of March. J. Rieger & Co. promises to donate $5 from every Seasonal G&T bought in the gift shop in March will be donated directly to Lead to Read KC.
Lead to Read KC plays an essential role in Kansas City, which ranks below Missouri’s state average for third-grade reading proficiency, critical to future academic success. The organization recruits community volunteers to read to students at local urban schools during lunchtime, fostering a love of reading and promoting literacy.
J. Rieger & Co.’s event offers the unique opportunity for the community to contribute by simply showing up, enjoying a drink, and socializing with fellow supporters of education. This not only brings funds for Lead to Read KC but also raises awareness about the importance of reading proficiency for Kansas City’s children.
Beyond this event, the generosity of J. Rieger & Co. continues throughout March with the distillery offering a unique way to contribute to Lead to Read KC. Visit the gift shop and buy a refreshing Seasonal G&T – $5 from every purchase will go directly to the organization.
Don’t forget to mark your calendars for Tuesday, March 12, at 3:00 P.M. You can take part in this wonderful cause by visiting J. Rieger & Co., indulging in their high-quality beverages, and contribute to a good cause. After all, giving back has never tasted so good!
