Ice Skating Thrills Return to Kansas City with Crown Center Ice Terrace Opening for 52nd Season

Ice Skating Thrills Return to Kansas City!

Hey Kansas City! Brace yourself for some frosty fun, because the Crown Center Ice Terrace is back and better than ever! This beloved outdoor ice skating rink, which has been serving up some serious winter vibes for over 50 years, is kicking off its 52nd season this year. That’s right, it’s time to lace up those skates and embrace the chilly air as you glide around the rink.

When Does the Skating Start?

Mark your calendars: the ice skating begins on November 1 and will be available daily until March rolls around. With hours to accommodate every skater’s schedule, you can hit the ice any day of the week, as long as it’s not Christmas Day (you’ll have to find another way to celebrate!).

How Much Does It Cost?

Wondering about the entrance fee? It’s a steal! Admission is just $9 for adults and anyone aged 4 and older. Got a little one who’s under 4? Lucky for you, they get in for FREE with a paid adult. For all the parents out there, children aged 12 and under need to have an adult tag along for the ride! If you don’t have your own skates, rental skates are available for just $6. And for the frequent skaters, consider the season pass priced at $130—it’s perfect for all your skating shenanigans!

Learn to Skate!

If you (or your kids) are new to skating or just want to sharpen your skills, you’re in luck! The Crown Center Ice Terrace will host two “Learn to Skate” sessions every Sunday morning. Make sure you register in advance to secure your spot. Skating is not just about fun; it’s a sport, and who knows what Olympic dreams could be born on that ice!

Group Fun and Private Parties!

Planning a birthday bash or a team outing? The ice terrace has you covered with special group rates available—because skating is always more fun with friends! Private parties can be arranged, offering a unique and thrilling way to celebrate with your pals. For more information or to book your group event, give them a call at 816-274-8411 or visit their website at Crown Center Ice Terrace. They’ve got all the details you need!

What Are the Hours?

Here’s a little breakdown of the hours to make your planning easier:

  • November – January: Open daily, hours vary.
  • February – March: Different hours to keep the fun alive as the season winds down.
  • Holiday Hours: Enjoy special hours throughout the holiday season!
