As the holiday season approaches, Crown Center is buzzing with excitement, and this year, it’s about to get even merrier! Starting this Friday, you’ll want to grab your loved ones and head over to Crown Center Square for the much-anticipated Hallmark Christmas Experience. It’s guaranteed to be a festive treat for everyone!
This enchanting experience will transform Crown Center into a scene straight out of your favorite Hallmark Christmas movie. Think cozy corners, lively vendors, delightful holiday food, and even showings of those heartwarming holiday flicks inside the Hallmark Visitors Center. With an expected 80,000 visitors flocking to the event, you know it’s going to be a blockbuster.
Now, let’s get to the exciting part! Over 40 popular Hallmark Channel actors will make appearances throughout the event. Keep your eyes peeled for fan-favorite Erin Krakow, known for her starring role in “When Calls the Heart.” Oh, and guess who else is coming? The Queen of Christmas herself, Lacey Chabert! As if that wasn’t enough, she’s the infamous Gretchen Wieners from “Mean Girls,” and she has also starred in numerous Hallmark Christmas movies!
The kickoff event is taking place on Saturday at 7 p.m. with the premiere of the new Hallmark movie “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story.” Make sure to show up early for the red carpet festivities starting at 4:30 p.m. on Grand Boulevard. It will be a fabulous time as the co-stars, Tyler Hynes and Hunter King, team up with Mayor Quinton Lucas to light up the mayor’s Christmas tree that very evening at 6:30 p.m.
A heads up for visitors: traffic around Crown Center will be rerouted. Grand Boulevard will be closed from 25th Street to Pershing Road starting at 4 p.m. on Friday and running until midnight on Saturday. Hallmark officials will assess the impact of this closure to determine plans for subsequent weekends, so stay tuned!
According to Lindsey Roy, Hallmark’s senior vice president of brand development, this event is an unprecedented opportunity for fans. “We often hear from our fans that they wish they could step into the world of our movies,” she said. “What better place to host than our hometown?” This is your chance to see Hallmark concepts brought to life like never before!
Visitors will love exploring the Holiday Hallmarket, which features unique gifts crafted by Hallmark artisans and exclusive seasonal products. For sports fans, there’s exciting news! You can snag the vintage-inspired Kansas City Chiefs hat and scarf featured in the new movie.
And just like a Hallmark movie, the mayor’s tree will be lit up with a spectacular light show at intervals of 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m., and 9:30 p.m. each night. It’s going to be simply magical!
Prepared for a bigger-than-life experience, Hallmark expects to host devoted fans from all over, including visitors from every state and 14 different countries! VIP packages sold out in a flash, prompting Hallmark to add more ticketed events, demonstrating just how popular this festive extravaganza has become!
The Hallmark Christmas Experience is free to enter, running every weekend through December 22, with hours from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to revel in the spirit of the holidays alongside your favorite Hallmark stars!
