Chris Goode took a chance on his old neighborhood by opening Ruby Jean’s Kitchen & Juicery at 3000 Troost Ave. in 2017. Today, Ruby Jean’s isn’t just a destination for the northern end of the historic thoroughfare; other new eateries have also opened along the stretch from 30th to 79th streets, with more on the way.
