Football fans in Kansas City looking to witness the Chiefs’ march to a third straight championship are in for a treat. Delta Airlines announced this past Friday that it will be offering special nonstop flights in and out of Kansas City specifically tailored for Chiefs’ fervent supporters.
Having taken into account the Kansas City Chiefs’ road trips to two of their previous playoff opponents from their last Super Bowl run, Delta devised a plan to help the legions of fans follow their beloved team. The airline revealed plans to provide direct roundtrip flights suited to the schedules of Kansas City’s road fixtures against the San Francisco 49ers and Buffalo Bills in the coming NFL season.
These special flights will transport fans directly from Kansas City International Airport (MCI) to either San Jose International Airport or Buffalo Niagara International Airport, allowing supporters to cheer on their team in person and experience the iconic clashes against the 49ers and Bills.
The Chiefs are slated to go head-to-head against the San Francisco 49ers in Santa Clara on Sunday, Oct. 20, reliving the thrills of their previous Super Bowl LVIII encounter. Following that, they will journey to Buffalo for an anticipated AFC Divisional rematch on Sunday, Nov. 17.
Delta is scheduled to provide these flight services on the following dates:
While the Chiefs’ regular season opener is still two months away—a Thursday, Sept. 5 clash with the Baltimore Ravens—this innovative move by Delta is sure to drum up even more excitement among fans eager to witness their team in action. Delta’s special roundtrip flights are all about enhancing the fan experience and enabling loyal Chiefs supporters to rally behind their team during two of the biggest road games of the upcoming 2024 season.
