Kansas City just got a bit more exciting with the opening of the latest Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant! Located at 1900 NW Springs Road in the bustling Twin Creeks Village, this charming spot opened its doors on Monday, January 13. This marks the third Cooper’s Hawk location in our beloved Kansas City area, with the original two sitting pretty on the Country Club Plaza (since 2012) and in Lee’s Summit (which opened in 2022). So, what’s in store for diners at this delightful new venue?
The new Northland restaurant boasts a generous 10,000 square feet of space, ready to accommodate up to 250 guests indoors. And if you’re hoping for a cozy al fresco dining experience, the covered patio can host an additional 65 guests. Talk about making room for everyone!
One of the highlights of Cooper’s Hawk is its Napa-style tasting room and retail market, perfect for those who love to sample and take home some fabulous wines. Customers can also sign up for a Wine Club, where members can enjoy a handcrafted bottle of wine each month, along with special discounts and perks that make every sip even more enjoyable.
When it comes to food, Cooper’s Hawk doesn’t hold back. The menu features a delightful New American cuisine, brimming with a variety of appetizers, vegetarian options, and main dishes. A must-try appetizer is the Drunken Shrimp, which includes bacon-wrapped shrimp drizzled in a tequila lime butter sauce and served with guacamole – all this flavor for just $20! Vegetarian diners can indulge in the scrumptious gnocchi with roasted butternut squash for $23.
For mains, you might want to dive into the Chicken Giardiniera for $23 or savor the red wine-braised short ribs, which are priced at $36. And every main dish comes with a recommended wine pairing to elevate your dining experience!
Cooper’s Hawk also caters to those mindful of their caloric intake with a dedicated “Life Balance” section on their menu featuring dishes that range between 300 to 700 calories. So whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply wanting a casual dinner, there’s something for everyone here.
The Northland location is proudly managed by kitchen manager Brittany Graziano and executive chef Matt McMillin, who are dedicated to bringing great food and service to every guest who walks through the door.
Planning your visit? The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and extends its hours to 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. However, keep in mind that the Northland location won’t be partaking in KC Restaurant Week 2025, as it’s just opening. This means there will be plenty of opportunities for you to discover what makes Cooper’s Hawk so special!
With over 70 locations nationwide and boasting an impressive tally of over 500 wine awards, Cooper’s Hawk continues to charm wine lovers and foodies alike. The Northland spot is the fifth location for Cooper’s Hawk in Missouri, so the excitement is just beginning. Get ready to enjoy a fantastic dining experience, and be sure to stop by this vibrant new restaurant soon!
