Kansas City, MO – A 15-year-old boy, accused of the **murder** of local chef **Shaun Brady**, made his initial appearance in court on Friday morning at the **Jackson County Family Justice Center**. The charged teen, one of two juveniles arrested in connection with the incident, faces significant legal proceedings following the tragic event that left the community in shock.
The incident occurred on Wednesday evening around **5:15 p.m.**, as Shaun Brady, age 44, was taking out trash at his restaurant, **Brady’s KC**, also known as **Brady & Fox**. Reports indicate that he encountered a group near a vehicle before being shot. Witnesses and a preliminary police investigation suggest that there may have been an interaction between Brady and the individuals before the shooting unfolded, which has left many unanswered questions regarding the motive.
Authorities apprehended the two suspects within an hour of the **shooting**, recovering the vehicle believed to have been used as a getaway.
