Headquartered in Annapolis, Maryland, Ceremony Coffee Roasters just announced a major shift that promises to bring big adventures to the local coffee scene. The longtime favorite roaster is now joining the FairWave Specialty Coffee Collective, a family of brands that includes notable names like Messenger and The Roasterie. This partnership is poised to serve as a fantastic game changer for both Ceremony and its loyal customers.
According to Ronnie Haas, the wholesale director and a well-respected figure at Ceremony, this new connection with FairWave brings a wave of excitement and fresh energy to the company. “This is an exciting new chapter in Ceremony’s story,” Haas declared. With a history spanning 22 years, Ceremony is looking to leverage the experience and resources of its new partners, which will allow it to enhance the delightful experiences it offers to coffee lovers.
FairWave’s mission is focused on strengthening local coffee brands and ensuring they thrive within their communities. In joining FairWave, Ceremony Coffee Roasters is becoming the first representative of the new mid-Atlantic region of the collective, setting the stage for future collaborations and growth.
Isaac Hodges, who serves as the president of growth at FairWave, emphasized the magic that lies within Ceremony’s coffee culture. “The legacy of the Ceremony community is also so impressive,” Hodges stated. Through its cafes and wholesale programs, Ceremony has always been dedicated to crafting memorable experiences centered around exceptional coffee. This commitment will continue as they align with FairWave’s overarching goals.
One of the most inspiring things about Ceremony is its ability to foster connections. Many former team members have ventured out to start their own coffee businesses or have excelled in national competitions. The current team continues this tradition by sustaining great relationships throughout the supply chain, proving that community is at the heart of what they do.
As part of this significant deal, Ceremony’s founder, Vincent Iatesta, will retain his leadership role in the company. He’s excited about what lies ahead and reassures customers that the experience they love will remain unchanged. “The essence of Ceremony will look and feel the same,” Iatesta stated. Warm cafés, friendly baristas, and exceptional coffee are all part of the experience that will stay intact.
This change will also bring a range of new opportunities. Iatesta shared that the company plans to embark on system updates, renovations, and capability expansions in its Annapolis location. By tapping into FairWave’s resources, Ceremony aims to enhance the quality of their offerings and enrich the café atmosphere that its patrons cherish.
FairWave’s collective aims to strengthen local specialty coffee brands through enhanced expertise and shared resources. With Ceremony joining the team, the collective will benefit from their extensive retail presence across Annapolis, Baltimore, and Bethesda, along with their roasting operation, cold brew offerings, and e-commerce business.
“It’s an honor to welcome Ceremony Coffee Roasters to the FairWave Collective,” underscores Hodges. “The people and passion for specialty coffee is evident throughout the organization, and we’re looking forward to growing together.”
The coffee community in Annapolis has so much to look forward to as Ceremony Coffee Roasters steps into this exciting new chapter. With a shared vision of collaboration and growth, both Ceremony and FairWave are gearing up for a bright future, bringing even more joy to the cups of coffee lovers in Maryland.
