Liberty, Mo. – A devastating car accident over the weekend has left one teenager dead and another person seriously injured. The accident occurred early Saturday morning, around 2:25 a.m., on Missouri Highway 291 at North Ash Avenue.
According to reports from the Liberty Police Department, an 18-year-old male driver was heading north in a Caddillac CTS4 when he unexpectedly crossed over the centerline into the southbound lanes. This unfortunate maneuver caused a collision with a Honda Pilot that was traveling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the Cadillac, later identified as Brandon Durossette from Smithville, Mo., was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The police have confirmed his identity following notification of next of kin.
