Renowned Artists Cameron Carpenter and Vitamin String Quartet Are Set to Grace Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts
In an electrifying fusion of classical and contemporary music, renowned organist Cameron Carpenter and the innovative Vitamin String Quartet are all set to headline performances at Kansas City’s acclaimed Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. Cameron Carpenter to Astound Audiences
The Kauffman Center will welcome Grammy-nominated organist, Cameron Carpenter, on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 7 p.m in the visually and acoustically stunning Helzberg Hall. Known for his unconventional interpretations of the standard organ repertoire, Carpenter’s approach to the organ concert is expected to be transformative. He also became the first Organist-In-Residence for the Philharmonic Berlin in the 2012 season. The remarkable repertoire for the evening includes The Goldberg Variations (Bach), Prelude and Fugue in E-flat Major ‘St. Anne’, BWV 552 (Bach), and Pictures at an Exhibition (Mussorgsky).
