Preliminary auditions will happen on:
Head over to The Jewish Community Center (The J), located at 5801 W. 115th Street, Overland Park, KS, to showcase your talent. Participants will compete for a first-place prize of a whopping $10,000 in scholarship money, with additional scholarships available for other finalists, bringing the total prize pool to over $22,000. Not too shabby!
To impress the judges, students can prepare one song of their choice to perform a cappella during the auditions. While it’s highly encouraged to register ahead of time, walk-ins are more than welcome! The panel of judges will include talented local voices who know a thing or two about the stage.
The semifinals will take place on June 5 at The Lewis & Shirley White Theatre at The J, followed by the finals that will be hosted on August 24 at Yardley Hall in the Midwest Trust Center at Johnson County Community College.
Besides the excitement of the competition, it’s worth noting that KC SuperStar annually supports The J’s services, contributing to various community programs that benefit both youth and older adults in our community. What a fantastic way to combine talent and giving back!
