Wichita’s Breakfast Scene Set to Thrive with The Big Biscuit’s Grand Opening

Wichita Welcomes The Big Biscuit: A Breakfast Dream Come True!

Wichita is buzzing with excitement as Prairie Village’s beloved breakfast chain, The Big Biscuit, prepares to open its very first location in the city. After years of anticipation from local fans, this new venture is set to satisfy the breakfast cravings of Wichitans everywhere!

Bringing Biscuit Love to Wichita

Chad Offerdahl, co-CEO of The Big Biscuit, shared just how eager he has been to bring the chain to Wichita. “We’ve been hearing from a lot of Wichitans asking when we’d set up shop here,” he explained, clearly happy about the warm welcome the city has given. The company has been eyeing expansion opportunities for quite some time now.

“We’ve always said that we wanted to come to Wichita,” Offerdahl continued. “We just needed the *right spot*.”

Well, it seems that the *perfect location* has finally been found! The new Big Biscuit will be situated at 2330 N. Maize Road, a 3,700-square-foot space that previously housed Las Catrinas Mexican Restaurant.

Choosing the Right Spot

So what made this spot so special? Offerdahl revealed that they’ve had their sights set on a high-traffic area near 21st Street and Maize Road. Upon discovering this location, he felt it checked all the boxes they were looking for.

“The area is vibrant, with lots of new development,” he pointed out enthusiastically. “It’s a perfect fit for our concept, which focuses on delivering quality breakfast food.”

The chain currently boasts over 30 locations across Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kansas, with 15 already in the bustling Kansas City area. The last year alone brought in an impressive revenue of $38.87 million, a solid leap from $33.09 million the year before.

A Family Affair

In a *personal touch*, Offerdahl mentioned that he and his family would own and operate the new Wichita location. They are teaming up with local VP of operations, Scott Jayne, who has strong ties to the Wichita community. Together, they are assembling an estimated 40-person staff who are excited to serve up some delicious food.

“We know and love the area,” Offerdahl said. “We have plenty of talented folks ready to help us make this a great success.”

What to Expect at The Big Biscuit

When you step into The Big Biscuit, prepare to experience breakfast and lunch in a delightful way! The menu will feature an array of American-style food options, including fluffy biscuits and gravy, mouthwatering omelets, and crispy waffles. Not to mention a variety of refreshing drinks like dirty sodas and freshly brewed coffee.

The team is aiming to kick off construction at the end of November, with hopes to open doors in the spring. “Our goal is simple,” Offerdahl said. “We’re focused on building a consistent and exceptional experience for our guests.”

Plans for Future Growth

But that’s not all—there are exciting plans in the pipeline! Offerdahl mentioned he’s already on the hunt for more sites in Wichita, with hopes of expanding to *three to five* additional locations in the near future. “We’re not growing just for the sake of growth,” he clarified. “We’re committed to finding the right neighborhoods where we can thrive.”

The Big Biscuit is all set to deliver fresh, comforting breakfast to Wichita, and with their proven record and dedicated team, it’s sure to be a hit. Keep your forks ready, everyone—big, fluffy biscuits are coming your way!
