Fourth Betty Rae’s Shop in Merriam
Matt Shatto, the inspiring force behind Shatto Milk and the CEO of Betty Rae’s Ice Cream, revealed plans for the brand’s fourth shop, scheduled to commence operations in Merriam by late May. The shop will be located at 5740 Antioch Rd., conveniently positioned just north of Johnson Dr. and IKEA. Sharing a parking lot space with renowned retailers such as Dick’s Sporting Goods, Home Depot, and the Cinemark Movie Theatre, the new outlet is ideally located to cater to a wide range of consumers.
An Upgrade in Ice Cream Production
The Merriam store will also accomodate a novel production facility, possessing the potential to amplify the ice cream production by as much as 300%. This initiative is projected to pave the way for five to seven job opportunities, supporting the continued growth of the business. Additionally, it will serve to fully stock the brand’s ice cream truck with bespoke flavors.
Introducing Test Kitchen: A Unique Concept
The upcoming store promises a distinctive experience, functioning as a Test Kitchen providing customers an opportunity to provide real-time feedback on potential retail flavors. This customer-inclusive approach revolves around a monthly rotation of test flavors, allowing Betty Rae’s to directly gauge customer preferences and adjust their menu accordingly.
In Celebration of Nine Successful Years
This exciting establishment serves as a stepping stone in Betty Rae’s growth journey, as the brand celebrates its ninth business anniversary this year. Following the successful introduction of pint containers at local Price Chopper stores, facilitated by the commencement of its third location in Olathe last October, Betty Rae’s anticipates further expansion prospects in the region.
