Kansas City Man Sentenced for Fentanyl Distribution Linked to Fatal Overdoses
Kansas City, Mo. – In a significant ruling, a 24-year-old man from Kansas City has been handed a hefty prison sentence of 15 years for his involvement in a fentanyl distribution ring that tragically led to the deaths of at least three individuals. Court documents revealed that Morales admitted to supplying fentanyl pills to Tiger Dean Draggoo, another 24-year-old from Kansas City who occasionally supplied pills back to Morales. The duo shared a troubling cycle of drug distribution, with Morales introducing Draggoo to other sources from which he could obtain fentanyl.
The Volume of Distribution
During an unsettling span from January to October 2022, Morales sold over 1,700 pills to Draggoo across 15 separate transactions. The financial exchanges didn’t occur through typical means; instead, Morales received payments totaling more than $2,320 facilitated by Cash App, all under coded labels for expenses like rent, food, and clothing. On the reverse side of the arrangement, Morales also purchased at least 100 pills from Draggoo, spending around $750 for those.
Judicial officials detailed that a total of 1,864 pills containing about 205 grams of fentanyl were transferred between Morales and Draggoo during their operation. These numbers highlight the alarming scale at which they were operating, further demonstrating the devastating potential of this poison on their community.
