Kansas City, MO – An 18-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder on Saturday in relation to the shooting that killed a 17-year-old in Lawrence earlier this week. The suspect, identified as Cir Allen Glover, was brought before the Douglas County District Court, according to city police records.
Police report the violent incident occurred earlier this Thursday in the 2400 block of Alabama Street. Responding to emergency calls in the early morning hours, police found Isaiah Neal, a 17-year-old resident, dead on the scene.
Following the tragic shooting, Lawrence police sought public assistance in locating the then unnamed suspect. After receiving a crucial tip, law enforcement agents worked tirelessly on the investigation, which led their search to Miami County.
The Miami County Sheriff’s Office collaborated with Lawrence police in following leads derived from the tip. After an intense but short-spanned manhunt, Glover was found and he surrendered himself without any further incident.
The suspect Cir Allen Glover is scheduled to face charges of second-degree murder in the Douglas County District Court, the same court that oversaw the suspect’s initial procedures. Glover is currently held on a $1 million bond, according to official records.
